Casting is the method of choice. The tactile surfaces of the vessels are rough and uneven, revealing the ghosts of the wax models that gave them life. By utilizing silver, gold, copper, and zinc, oftentimes creating alloys, uniquely colored shapes and sketches on the objects’ surfaces are created. Often times, the objects are muted in color and pearlescent in patina. Fine fissures and surface blistering, both natural byproducts of lost wax casting, become central features of the finished works.
