It can be said that a lardge part of Yutaka Minegishi's work is done through hand carving single blocks of materails.  "I don't draw, I don't make models.  I carve materaisl directly...I cardve rings...looking to find better lines, surfaces, points and forms" is how Yutaka explains his way of working.

In this solo exhibition Yutaka presents series of rings carved in different materials such as jet and stones.  "Twisted" forms can be found in a large body of his work.  His previous solo show in Australia was called "Mainly Twisted", so it is only natural and fitting for Yutaka to name this exhbition "Still Twisted".
