In 2013 Kim invited Karin and Tore to make an exhibition together with him in his gallery in Copenhagen. The opening of the Nordic Jewellery exhibition ‘Coolest Corner’ took place at the same time, so a lot of jewelry devotees, colleagues and collectors were in town.
The exhibition setup went easily and smoothly. Our work complemented each other’s, even though each person’s style was distinct. That was a good starting point for the continuation of this collaboration.
It is important for us to meet as colleagues, talk and discuss about jewelry and what is going on in the art-field and finally to present our jewelry to the public to get reflection on it.
The joy to travel and to show our work in new places is something we all like to do. The idea rose to join our channels and abilities and present our work in a group called KGB. The name KGB is a composition of the first letters of our hometowns (København, Göteborg and Berlin).
To travel and to be in the place of the exhibition is unfortunately not possible in the moment. Everyone is suffering from the fact that we have to stay at home and watch from a distance what is going on in the world.
We are very thankful that it is possible to show our sixth KGB-exhibition in Bangkok and we are looking forward to one day accompanying our work again.
